Donald Trump, the president of the United States, did not back down on Tuesday when he criticized Hamas as “bullies” for halting the transfer of victims in Gaza.
” They want to play strong man, but we’ll see how hard they are”, Trump told reporters at a White House news event.
” You know what a thug is, right? I’ve found it genuine all my career. A thug is the weakest man– and they’re abusers. Hamas is abusers”, he added. ” The weakest individuals are jerks. You know that, best”?
Trump even reiterated his position on Truth Social, posting,” A Jerk IS THE WEAKEST PERSON”, along with a Fox News picture of his remarks.
Ceasefire under threat
Hamas claimed that Israel had broken the peace terms, including allowing suitable humanitarian aid into Gaza, in response to Trump’s remarks. In reaction, the party threatened to block the release of more captives.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned that Israel may withdraw from the peace deal and continue military action if Hamas did not release more victims by the trip.
Trump doubled down on Netanyahu’s alert, stating that if all victims are not released by lunchtime on Saturday, the stalemate would be pointless.
” If they’re never here, all hell is going to bust out”, he said.
However, victims ‘ people from both Israel and Palestine have pleaded for the peace to continue because they fear that the battle will continue to result in additional casualties.
Zero to purchase in Gaza
However, during a gathering with Jordan’s King Abdullah at the White House, Trump dismissed the idea of the US having to “buy” Gaza.
” There is nothing to get it. It’s a war-torn place which the US can just have without buying it”, he said.
He added that Middle Easterners had benefit from” a lot of work” from rebuilding Gaza.
