MELBOURNE: An American clinic is examining physician files after a caregiver claimed website to have killed Israelis, authorities said Wednesday, stressing that no evidence of damage to patients was uncovered.
The assertion appears to be the most recent in a string of racist attacks and language that have enraged Australia as a number of homes, offices, and businesses have been vandalized, and two synagogues have been torched in just over a time as a result of crimes committed against Jews.
According to New South Wales state health secretary Ryan Park, a police strike force was established to investigate possible crimes relating to the website video, including hate speech violations, since the Israel-Hamas war started in Sydney in 2023.
Hate crime authorities in Sydney and Melbourne, the world’s largest locations where 85 per cent of Australia’s Jewish people lives, are individually investigating the revelation of a video containing explosives, a list of possible Israeli targets and arson attacks on two synagogues.
Two nurses at Sydney’s Bankstown Hospital who participated in an online conversation with Israeli influence Max Veifer on Tuesday night shift were suspended on Wednesday, and Park said they would not work for the state health department afterwards.
” They are nasty, disgusting and deranged folks”, Park told reporters.
Authorities responded shortly after the midwives ‘ identities were captured on surveillance video. Veifer did not immediately respond to an email asking for comment, and attempts to contact the midwives were fruitless.
In the videos, the two midwives purported to be doctors, according to department director Susan Pearce. There was no fast knowledge from their bosses.
The woman nurse in the movie said she wouldn’t behave an Israeli person but kill them, while the men nurse used obscenities and a throat-slitting movement.
According to Park, the regional health minister, an investigation into Bankstown Hospital has discovered no evidence of Jewish patients being hurt.
” To the Jewish community today, I say not only am I sorry, but I can assure you this: the care that you get in our hospitals will continue to be first class”, Park said, adding that the hospital’s past record would also be looked into.
Alex Ryvchin, co-chief executive officer of the executive council of Australian Jewry, an advocacy group, described the video as “absolutely chilling and horrific”.
The brutal manner in which these people spoke about killing, torturing, and wishing death on Israelis, especially from our medical professionals who we look to for care and support, was a ghastly thing to witness, and it should never have happened.
