The U. S. Agency for International Development, or USAID, evidently paid the full college education for an American-born student who later became an as Qaeda criminal, Fox News reported.
The federal agency that has made headlines in recent weeks after instances of waste, fraud, and abuse were discovered as part of its$ 40 billion annual budget by DOGE, the Department of Government Efficiency, paid for Anwar al-Awlaki’s tuition to Colorado State University.
Images of a report showing USAID sponsored al-Awlaki’s education went popular in recent days on social media, Fox News reported.
According to the report,” A USAID form from June 1990 was discovered and posted to X over the weekend, which revealed al-Awlaki was allegedly given money to attend the school by fabricating his identity as a Yemeni national and being eligible for an exchange visa,” according to the report.
After he graduated institution, he became” a central figure of al Qaeda, including having direct contact with Army physician Nidal Hasan before he opened fire at Fort Hood, Texas, in 2009, killing 13 people, U. S. authorities reported at the time”.
Investigative reporter Catherine Herridge wrote on X: “STUNNING: Looks like USAID supported college tuition for Anwar Aulaqi ( Awlaki ), who later became a high level al Qaeda terrorist.
” Aulaqi falsely claimed that he was born in Yemen and that the State Department provided financial assistance. when he was really a US resident, born in Las Cruces New Mexico”, she continued. Aulaqi would afterwards form close relationships with a number of hijackers who carried out the attacks and take the position of leader in AQ’s Yemen advertising.
” Aulaqi was the grandfather of the digital terrorism,” according to Aulaqi, who used his writings and the internet to galvanize Americans in support of AQ’s cause. The CIA executed Aulaqi as the first United to die in its path. In 2011, he was killed in a US helicopter attack”.

According to Britannica, al-Awlaki was one” of the United States ‘ most-wanted terrorists, Awlaki was instantly linked to many violence narratives in the United States and United Kingdom, including an effort in December 2009 to blow up a jet bound for Detroit”.
He had developed from a typical Muslim to one of al-Qaeda’s most powerful voices and public figures in large part as a result of his numerous online sermons and misinformation videos, which allowed him to distribute his information all over the world.
This case, according to an editor in the New York Post, is yet another nail in the coffin for USAID.
” How did Awlaki, a US citizen, get this cherry grant]full college tuition paid for by the U. S. citizens]? By fabricating his identity and claiming to be from Yemen! You’d think that the” authorities “in command of handing out USAID’s large cash might have, you know, demanded some proof.
But they didn’t — a typical example of democratic bigotry, by the way: Someone with a furrin’-soundin ‘ name like” Awlaki” don’t perhaps become American. And so this radical-in-waiting committed an easily visible scams and stole a bunch of money from hardworking citizens, then grew up to become a violent America-hater.
