A statement that claimed Rep. Ilhan Omar married her brother and engaged in immigration fraud disseminated the old story as it is no longer true because a private friend has since confirmed on record that she really married her brother. Sources told the UK Daily Mail that Omar claimed to have told her friends that her second husband was really her nephew and that the union was a con in order to obtain him immigration papers. One of these friends claimed that the Ethiopian community in Minneapolis was descended into a major scandal when this obvious marriage took place. The Democrat head was never a political figure at the time.
Since this has been proven to be true, neither @IlhanMN nor @Ilhan have posted anything, the article read. Ilhan Omar replied to it and wrote:” The only thing that is confirmed is your idiocy, hope that helps”.
Even Donald Trump has previously refuted the myth that Ilhan and her nephew are related, despite the fact that the Minneapolis congresswoman denies this. Abdihakim Osman, Omar’s second and third husband, was quoted by DailyMail as saying that the fraud was well-known. Despite the fact that both Omar and Ahmed Elmi are Muslims, he allegedly claimed that the relationship was arranged through a Christian secretary.
After Ilhan Omar and her family fled war-torn Somalia in 1997, they settled in Minnesota and put together a chronology of events according to The Daily Mail’s history. She wed Ahmed Abdisalan Hirsi in a religious festival in 2002, but it was illegal. The pair have two kids. In 2009, Omar married Ahmed Elmi and in 2011 they split. Omar and Hirsi, her second wife, delivered their second baby in 2012. In 2017, Omar divorced Elmi and in 2018, she remarried Hirsi. Then Omar and Hirsi are divorced.
According to the record, there is no proof to support the claim that Omar and Elmi are biological twins. In 2020, the FBI was reviewing the relationship.
” She ( Omar ) said she needed to get papers for her brother to go to school. We all believed that she was simply obtaining paperwork to let him remain in this nation,” the friend said.
