Six people wanted by UK law enforcement in Belgium have been detained, according to the National Crime Agency (NCA ) on Thursday, according to a statement released by the agency.
NCA officials detained the people, all Afghan immigrants, on Wednesday in Leicester, Birmingham and Coventry, all in northern England, and Essex in north west England.
The punishments are a result of coordinated action in Belgium and Italy, which was started after French judges issued a subpoena for their arrests.
French prosecutors allege that the organization, which has been engaged since 2022, has assisted in organizing the movement of refugees from Afghanistan through Iran, Turkey, and the Balkans into eastern Europe, primarily France and Belgium.
Additionally, the crew is accused of assisting migrants who were denied entry to the UK on smaller boats after their asylum applications were rejected in Belgium.
The remaining three suspects are scheduled to show up later on Thursday at London’s Westminster courts ‘ court on Wednesday, when the abduction proceedings first began.
According to NCA assistant director Craig Turner,” These people were reportedly a part of a hazardous and dangerous judicial system that moved migrants across the world, through Europe, and finally into northern Europe and the UK.”
We now have 70 life investigations into the groups involved in it, he added, adding that the danger posed by organized immigration crime is persistent and persistent.
In December, the NCA arrested three men in the UK for related crimes, as part of independent research.
The three are presently awaiting extradition to Belgium, where a judge has sentenced 20 people of their group to a full of 170 times prison.
