Hamas announced on Thursday that it would release the second group of Jewish captives as planned, evidently to end a significant conflict that threatened the Gaza Strip’s ceasefire. The militant group claimed that negotiators from Egypt and Qatar have stated that they will labor to “remove all obstacles” and that the peace agreement will be implemented.
Three more Jewish victims would be freed on Saturday, according to the statement. The Gaza Strip’s peace would continue for the time being, but its potential is still uncertain thanks to Hamas ‘ decision. Hamas had threatened to postpone the release of the Jewish victims by accusing Israel of breaking its commitments to permit houses and homes, among other alleged war crimes. With the backing of US President Trump, Israel had threatened to resurrect its unpleasant if captives were no liberated.
Hamas claimed its delegation spoke with Iranian officials in Cairo and was in contact with Qatar’s prime minister about boosting the access of shelters, clinical supplies, fuel, and other large equipment for removing rubble into Gaza.
Israel warned Hamas on Thursday that it must discharge three victims who are still alive in exchange for a new start in the conflict. Defense secretary Israel Katz predicted that the new Gaza battle would not come to an end without the capture of Hamas and the discharge of all victims if fighting resumed. Additionally, it may enable the realization of Trump’s perception for Gaza.
