In the Feb. 11 Newsweek article,” Married Women May Be Stopped From Voting Under SAVE Act,” the absurd state that married people won’t be able to ballot was presented as legitimate information. Their cause: the remaining leaning Center for American Progress, which is constantly working against the SAVE Act.
The SAVE Act May Stop Millions of Women From Voting, a February 12 article from Glamour Magazine, was immediately completely stoked about this matter, along with a bit from the left-leaning Brennan Center For Justice, which is also constantly working against the SAVE Act.

The SAVE Act would require states to obtain proof of citizenship, in person, before registering an adult to vote for a federal election. Under SAVE, people seeking voter registration may provide a REAL ID, U. S. Passport, defense recognition, birth certificate, or other types recognition proving membership.
The Center for American Progress warns that “more than 140 million American citizens do not possess a passport and as many as 69 million women who have taken their spouse’s name do not have birth certificates that match their legal name.”
Looks like they believe women are foolish. They claim that women who have already learned how to change their names are incompetent enough to provide evidence of that change.
According to Cleta Mitchell, senior legal fellow at the Conservative Partnership Institute,” when women change their names upon marriage ( or divorce ), there is a process for changing or updating names from birth certificates or previous marriages,” the Federalist wrote in an email. Millions of women practice it every day to live their lives under the names they have chosen.
As Curtis Hill, a former attorney general of Indiana, reported for The Federalist in 2022, the racist notion that minorities are incapable of providing identification to vote has been remade.  ,
The SAVE Act would be incredibly unfair, according to the Center for American Progress for another reason.
” Documentation would need to be presented in person, the legislation would, in practice, prevent Americans from being able to register to vote by mail, end voter registration drives nationwide, and eliminate online voter registration overnight”, the center’s website reads. American citizens would need to show up in person with original documentation in order to change their voter registration information for changes to addresses or party affiliations. By themselves, these effects would restore voter registration technology and sophistication by decades and render millions of Americans ineffective.
These are the techniques that can be employed to cheat. For instance, I previously reported for The Federalist that Pennsylvania’s Department of State advised counties to send a ballot if their Social Security or driver’s license number is missing or inconsistent with their name. It is a procedure that is ripe for voter fraud, and it can be easily avoided by requiring in-person registration from wannabe voters.
Women in the suffrage movement marched in the streets for years and fought for the right to vote. Soldiers have passed away to cement that right. However, we can’t ask voters to lift a finger to cast a ballot today.  ,
