On Friday, President Donald Trump will sign an executive order to end the demands for the COVID-19 immunization in public schools.

The order prohibits federal funds from being used to fund or subcontract an informative service organization, state education organization, local education organization, secondary school, extra school, or institution of higher education that requires students to have received a COVID-19 vaccination in order to enroll in in in-person education programs.
According to the White House, the president’s order also directs the secretary of education, health, and individual services to provide the White House with a complete plan” to end aggressive COVID-19 vaccine mandates, including a report on errant entities and a procedure for preventing national funds from supporting academic institutions that impose COVID-19 vaccine demands.”
Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Trump’s new HHS secretary and one of the loudest voices in the anti-vaccine movement, was confirmed and sworn in on Thursday afternoon, the same day the Senate grilled Trump’s nominee to lead the Department of Education, Linda McMahon, at a confirmation hearing. The president has made a mental note about how he wants McMahon to leave her a job, making reference to his stated goal of reducing the Education Department, if not completely, and closing it.
Despite his quick development of vaccines through Operation Warp Speed and his frequent criticism of former president Joe Biden’s continued compliance with COVID-19 requirements, Trump’s first term in office was derailed by COVID-19.

” These mandates pressure students into making COVID-19 vaccine decisions based on government coercion, rather than on their own informed choices”, the White House said in a statement. ” With COVID-19 vaccine mandates threatening educational opportunities for students, parents are being forced into a difficult position: comply with a controversial mandate or risk their child’s educational future”.
Trump signed a separate executive order reversing the military’s ban on coronavirus vaccination just one week into office.
