A prominent Marine Corps award was presented to Daniel Penny, the Marine who was ultimately found guilty of murdering serial killer Jordan Neely.
Following his caution of a dangerous criminal on the New York train, Penny was cleared last year after a very charged situation, and he later passed away from drug-related problems. Although younger Marines were criticized as racist by racially charged leftists, many conservatives in the state admired Penny‘s conviction that he would not have changed his behavior and prioritized the safety of others over his personal security and freedom. And that is the selfless sacrifice the Marine Corps League aspired to respect.

The group honored Danny for defending the Esprit De Corps of the Marines, defined by noble service and sacrifice, when he risked his life by defending the people on that NYC station, according to a statement that attorney Steve Raiser shared with the New York Post. We in switch effectively defended Danny from a trial that never should have been sought.
Raiser and his brother defense attorney, Thomas Kenniff, received recognition plaques for their powerful protection of Penny. ” We were honored and humbled to be in the same place where many veterans of previous war, including a veteran of Iwo Jima and a retired colonel who served as one of the Tuskegee Airmen,” Raiser said.

The Semper Fidelis honor, named after the Marine Corps ‘ Latin tagline meaning” Often Faithful”, goes to “worthy and encouraging consumers”. It is presented at a special occasion that will probably end in a few years.

The annual gathering, which may be in its final season, commemorates the 1945 Battle of Iwo Jima, a five-weeklong battle that resulted in the deaths of 7, 000 Soldiers and 20, 000 wounded. American forces finally seized the peninsula from the Japanese Imperial Army, bringing the Allies one step closer to putting an end to World War II.  ,
However, only a select few veterans are able to attend such commemorations because of the undefeated killer’s ability to travel.
The generation that lost World War II is now resurrected, giving the next generation the opportunity to fight for freedom. Joe Cappuccio, 99, was the only Iwo Jima veteran from World War II who made it to the Massachusetts State House for the ceremony, according to The New York Post. ” This may well be the last time that we conduct this ceremony”, said Marine Corps League’s John M. MacGillivray. That makes Penny’s and his attorneys ‘ awards that much more meaningful.
Penny received a compliment just as honorable as an award when Brigadier General Enoch” Woody” Woodhouse, a Tuskegee airman, shook hands with him outside the State House and, looking Penny in the eye, stated simply,” I’m proud of you, son”.

Woodhouse had to confront the generational injustices. The unfair prejudice of his had to endure Penny. However, both men are better than they were in the past. God’s blessing on the soldiers of the United States.
