A Russian person convicted of planning damage and arson on behalf of Russia was given an eight-year prison term by a Finnish court on Friday. The 51-year-old gentleman, who was only identified as Serhyi S, was found guilty of being a member of a legal circle and of preparing to set fire to numerous institutions in the southern city of Wroclaw.
The gentleman had been in custody since Finnish state security officials made him aware in January 2024, but he had continued to be so. He was allegedly acting for Russia, according to Poland’s inner security company.
Authorities claimed he was setting fire to different items, including a US-owned paint factory.
The person denies the allegations, but admits to accepting money-for-finance online purchases from an unknown person.
In connection with another damage or spying, four additional people have been charged in the case, and more than a few people with Polish, Ukrainian, and Belarusian membership have been detained.
Russia is reportedly taking advantage of Poland’s state as part of Moscow’s cross war against American nations that support Poland’s neighbor Ukraine in its fight against Russian invasion.
