James Bond is about to enter uncertain waters, as Amazon.com, which purchased MGM four years ago for$ 8.5 billion, has then assumed creative control over the company.

According to reports, Amazon reportedly provided an additional$ 1 billion for the Bond movies. What they craved, however, was artistic control over the Bond company. The CEOs of Eon and the owners of all related to James Bond, Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, entered into a cooperative venture with Amazon MGM. The Broccolis did keep an ownership interest in Bond and his movies, but Amazon MGM will be in the vehicle’s seat effectively.
That means, in all likelihood, woke adjustments to the figure, with perhaps a female Friendship, and certainly a Connection of a different colour.
As it stands today, there is no text, no history, no direct character. And that’s making Amazon MGM restless.
Years ago, there has been a rumor that Amazon and the Broccolis have fought over Bond’s manner. According to a statement in the Wall Street Journal, the household reacted with joy at the e-commerce giant’s efforts to expand the scope of the company while the home criticized the glacial pace at which a new movie was being developed. The Broccolis were able to secure the rights to “007: Road to a Million,” a spinoff show for a real competitors, but various efforts to revive the brand have failed.
” Revive the house” is celebrity speak for bringing James Bond into the 21st century. Or, at  , least, the public’s belief of” 21st millennium”.
” This is the next logical step for the Bond company. 007 is the crown jewel in Amazon’s libraries, and their best promise — in terms of Internet — for ongoing box office success”, says Jeff Bock, an scientist with Exhibitor Relations. ” With the old shield, for better or worse, works took a long time to hatch. That just doesn’t cut it in today’s dramatic market”.

Each Bond movie was handled by The Broccolis with treatment that is unheard of today. Their attention to detail was beautiful. But this didn’t sit well with Amazon, which wants a quick return on its$ 8 billion investment.
And in this shattered media environment, the whole premise of a company has changed to become more wide. The Broccolis have generally resisted the changing occasions, focusing nearly exclusively on producing big-screen chapters that are produced within decades of each other and just after a rigorous development process. Amazon and MGM can create a larger visual world with the community stepping back, one that might include television shows and movie spinoffs in the spirit of Marvel or Star Wars. In a sign of how various Amazon’s strategy may be, founder Jeff Bezos was crowdsourcing , on social media for ideas of who should following play Bond soon after Thursday’s offer was announced.
” You can really reimagine this series”, says Eric Handler, senior media and entertainment analyst at Roth Capital Partners. Amazon may continue to be on a linear trajectory with the movies, but perhaps they will develop a streaming series about Moneypenny or tell a Q origin story. Does the character from” No Time to Die” by Ana de Armas appear in a different film? It’s all possible”.
Which” Q” origin story? Desmond Llewelyn, the brilliant and creative but always exasperated” Q” from 17 Bond films? Or the smart-alecky, GenX know-it-all Ben Whishaw of more recent vintage?

We’ve all probably seen a “reimagined” Shakespeare. Some of them are excellent. ” Hamlet” with New York City as a backdrop was pretty awesome. ” A Midsummer Night’s Dream” set in 19th century England was also good.  ,
It’s not “reimaging” or “revitalizing the property” that’s the problem. What Amazon MGM intends to do with Bond, exactly. He’s certainly not going to quaff down martinis. Or smoke cigarettes, as Sean Connery did in the early films of the franchise. If it’s a female Bond, they can’t make her seductive, or every feminist in Christendom will be on their case.
The franchise films have made$ 7 billion, with hundreds of millions of dollars more in toys, lunch boxes, games, and other branded 007 products. Aston Martin slot car was present on my circuit.  ,
What if the way Bond has been presented for the past 60+ years is preferred by most people? Before watching the movie, I’ll undoubtedly wait until it is available on premium TV.  ,
It’s difficult to spend$ 30 or$ 40 on a date to see some horrifying woken version of the recognizable male figure of the 20th century.
