Elon Musk, the head of the US Department of Government Efficiency ( DOGE ), issued a new Trump administration directive on Saturday that all government employees must email their productivity reports, or it will be readied as resignation.
Musk stated in a social media post on X that the internet will provide national employees the opportunity to reveal specifics of their past week’s performance.
All federal workers will soon receive an email asking to understand what they did last week, according to Musk.
” Failure to respond may be taken as a withdrawal”, he added.
A spokesperson for the US Office of Personnel Management ( OPM) confirmed Musk’s programs following the law and stated that the agency is asking employees to provide a quick overview of what they did last week by Monday’s finish.
” As part of the Trump Administration’s devotion to an effective and accountable national labor, OPM is asking employees to provide a brief description of what they did last week by the close of Monday ,CC’ing their supervisor”, the established told Fox News.
” Agencies will identify any future methods”, he added.
The American Federation of federal employees, in contrast, criticized Trump and Musk’s pans and declared it would issue any unlawful abortions of our users and national employees across the nation.

The performance review comes as part of DOGE’s ongoing campaign against suspected waste throughout the federal government. In an X article Tuesday, DOGE said it discovered 4 million active payment cards on the US government’s books.
” The US government currently has ~4.6M active credit cards/accounts, which processed ~90M unique transactions for ~$ 40B of spend]ing ] in FY24,” DOGE said in a post on X Tuesday.
Trump praised Musk for his efforts to increase governmental efficiency and said that while he is “doing a great job, he should be” more extreme.
” Elon is doing a great job, but I would like to see him getting more intense. Remember, we have a country to keep, but finally, to generate greater than ever before. Maga! ” Trump wrote.
Musk responded with an motivated” Will would, Mr. President! “hours after Trump posted.
