Ag Secretary: Stopping China From Buying Farmland Is Top Priority

The new head of the United States Department of Agriculture ( USDA ), Brooke Rollins, stated to Breitbart News last week that one of her top goals in her new position is to stop China from buying American farmland. &nbsp,

” The Chinese’s order of our land is probably at the top of the list. A lot of that area is around some of our defense outposts”, she said. &nbsp,

Back in January, I wrote about how, as of 2023, the USDA reported that “46 million hectares of grain, grazing, and forest land were held by buyers from outside of the United States”. That’s 3.6 % of all public property in the U. S. While Chinese property ownership actually declined a little in 2023, assets from countries like Canada, Australia, Italy, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom were on the rise. People already own more U. S. land than any other immigrants. &nbsp,

Numerous states have now acted on or passed laws that impose restrictions or absolute restrictions.
