Republican lawmaker and former US Navy SEAL Dan Crenshaw was caught on a Hot Mic saying that he would murder Tucker Carlson if they ever met, adding,” No really, I may kill him.”
The statement was made at the conclusion of a conversation with GB News, and it has since gone viral, drawing criticism from liberals and Carlson himself.
In an interview with American journalist Steven Edginton, Crenshaw was asked about the$ 100 billion assistance package to Ukraine and Carlson’s claim that the funds could have been used to fund home interests and border security. Crenshaw dismissed the idea, saying,” You can move and chew gum at the same time”.
He went on to criticise Carlson, saying,” I would love to ask Tucker what he thinks that$ 100 billion should be spent on and if he would vote for it as a conservative. Tucker doesn’t understand what he’s talking about”. He added,” Tucker likes to visit Moscow and discuss about how great the food retailers are, so I don’t actually take his advice extremely really”.
When the meeting was finished, Edginton inquired as to whether Crenshaw had actually met Carlson. ” If I ever meet him, I’ll f*ing shoot him”, Crenshaw replied. When Edginton laughed, Crenshaw reportedly doubled down, saying,” No, seriously, I would kill him”.
The remark quickly spread online, prompting Republican leader Marjorie Taylor Greene to confront Crenshaw, asking,” Did you threaten to kill my friend Tucker Carlson”? Crenshaw dismissed her problem, responding,” Lol, no”.
Edginton after pushed up, posting on X:” We practically have it on video”. The picture was after deleted, but not before customers saved and reposted it.
Crenshaw and Carlson have a long-running conflict, with Crenshaw recently calling Carlson a” cruel, know-nothing elite who is full of s**t”. Carlson, in returning, has mocked Crenshaw as “Eyepatch McCain” according to his battle damage and connections in foreign policy positions with the late Senator John McCain, reports The Daily information.
Crenshaw has even described Carlson as a” cruel, know-nothing elitist”, according to the Daily Beast.
Expand head and Tech businessman Elon Musk even reacted, questioning why Crenshaw seemed “homicidal” toward Carlson.
” Why is Crenshaw murder regarding Tucker”? Musk stated on X.
Carlson himself responded by interviewing Crenshaw.
” We’ll see how you do, so why don’t you come in for an discussion?” he posted on X. “I’ll give you my target, Dan Crenshaw”.
