After three years of the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, the Labour Party-led United Kingdom government has announced the largest restrictions bundle of over 100 fresh sanctions against Russia.
The UK has now imposed over 100 new restrictions directly against those who continue to support the war, three years after President Putin’s full-scale conquest of Ukraine. The UK government releases its largest sanctions deal since the start of the invasion, with 107 fresh sanctions announced, according to a press release from the UK government.
The UK Government said the “milestone deal” target Russian military supply stores, income fuelling Putin’s improper war, and Kleptocrats driving earnings for the Kremlin.
” They even aim for strengthening Ukraine’s hands will help to build a stable and profitable Europe and the UK- a base of the president’s Plan for Change”, the statement read.
” Today’s actions will target resources going into Putin’s war neck and propping up Russia’s Kleptocratic system”, it added.
The UK Prime Minister stated last week that their globe is experiencing a “once-in-a-generation time for the social security,” adding that the UK is working with its allies to put Ukraine in the best position to achieve harmony through power.
The sanctions also target Russia’s military apparatus, supporters ‘ organizations in second nations, and its fragile supply chains, the sources of which it relies heavily. The goals include: producers and suppliers of equipment tools, gadgets and dual-use items for Russia’s defense, including microchips used in weapons systems. These are based in a range of second countries, including Central Asian says, Turkey, Thailand, India and China, which are the largest manufacturers of essential items for Russia’s defense”, the statement read.
LLC Grant-Trade, its owner Marat Mustafaev and his sister Dinara Mustafaeva are the 13 Russian targets. They have used the business to import advanced European technology into Russia to support its illegal war.
We are also using new powers to target foreign financial institutions that support Russia’s war machine for the first time. We are sanctioning the Kyrgyzstan-based OJSC Keremet Bank, disrupting Russia’s use of the international financial system to support its war efforts”, the UK government further stated.
It added,” Keeping the country safe is the Government’s first priority and an integral part of the Prime Minister’s Plan for Change. The sanctions against Russia’s military apparatus and the profits from it will increase the chances of a just and lasting peace in Ukraine, which will benefit UK security and prosperity.
