A bizarre AI-generated video of former US President Donald Trump sucking Elon Musk’s feet was briefly displayed on screens inside the Department of Housing and Urban Development ( HUD) headquarters, causing an internal investigation.
Long live the true prince, I say.
According to The New York Times, the film, which appeared to ridicule Trump’s close relationships to Musk, was broadcast on Monday. An inscription read,” Long Life the True King,” in reference to Trump’s joyful post on Truth Social after his presidency abandoned New York City’s congestion pricing strategy, over the strange images.
Musk has been given the task of cutting federal staffing and spending, which has already irritated thousands of government employees. He is currently in charge of the Department of Government Efficiency ( DOGE ).
HUD vows to flame those concerned
HUD’s director blasted the movie as an “abuse of tax assets” and promised to hold those responsible guilty. Possible terminations are currently being investigated internally and are being considered.
The movie first appeared the day after Musk’s contentious “productivity assessment,” which required federal employees to email their roles in return. Several agencies—some led by Trump hardliners —urged staff to ignore the law, creating widespread misunderstandings.
Musk’s reply: ‘ Another prospect ‘
Musk, apparently unfazed by the film incident, reiterated on X that national employees also had “another opportunity” to support their jobs—or risk losing them.
However, the Democrat-led House Committee on Financial Services responded with a mysterious article on X:” No all heroes wear robes”.
The incident, which blends satire, AI subterfuge, and political drama in ways that seem almost too absurd to be true, has heightened the tension between the national workforce’s now chaotic restructuring.
