A former FBI agent is reportedly interfering with a federal investigation into Hunter Biden while allegedly sharing sensitive analytical information with his government contact, including a nude pictures of his girlfriend, according to the New York Post.
Tim Thibault, who previously served as an assistant special agent in charge at the FBI’s Washington Field Office, is accused of leaking official records, naming commission people, and forward facts about an ongoing research to his partner, Melissa Morgan-Ransome, between February and May 2022. Republican lawmakers Chuck Grassley and Ron Johnson made the disclosures in a letter calling for an instant investigation into his behavior.
revealing nude photos and FBI records
Thibault reportedly sent his girlfriend a number of emails with limited FBI information, some of which had a disclaimer saying “information about FBI workers and activities that are not available to the general public.” A yarn about a federal investigation into anti-abortion advocate Lauren Handy, who was found guilty under the FACE Act and later pardoned by US President Donald Trump, was reportedly included in one message.
In April 2022, Thibault reportedly went a step further—forwarding a nude image of Morgan-Ransome from his standard FBI email accounts. Both her and a George Washington University handle connected to him were both sent the message. The former realtor had lectured at the university as a guest speaker, where she had discussed social issues in government and how to distinguish between unethical and immoral behavior.
Shielding Hunter Biden?
In addition to his alleged internet leaks, Thibault is accused of shielding Hunter Biden, the son of former US President Joe Biden, from federal scrutiny. In a system to “undermine derogatory information connected to Hunter Biden by falsely claiming it to be deception, he collaborated with regulatory intelligence researcher Brian Auten, according to leak statements.
Thibault had likewise served as the FBI’s primary contact for handling data from Hunter Biden’s business associate Tony Bobulinski. Bobulinski had provided documents related to a$ 5 million venture involving Hunter, James Biden, and a Chinese energy conglomerate. Some emails from Hunter’s abandoned laptop suggested Joe Biden—referred to as” the big guy “—was set to receive a 10 % stake in the deal.
Lawmakers Grassley and Johnson, who received whistleblower proof against Thibault, argue that his steps raise serious ethical issues. The lawmakers wrote to FBI producer Kash Patel and attorney general Pam Bondi,” Thibault’s conduct is an example of exactly the type of behavior that the two of you were confirmed to eliminate.”
‘ Greatly troubling’ behaviour
In August 2022, Thibault resigned from the FBI following the claims ‘ surface. The then-FBI producer Christopher Wray described the accusations of social disturbance, as well as Thibault’s social media activity targeting Republicans, as “deeply troubling”.
Grassley and Johnson have urged the FBI to look into whether Thibault’s steps led to a hostile work environment or constituted sexual abuse. They also demanded information of his connection with Morgan-Ransome, who was formerly a Florida exercise trainer.
” The FBI frequently lectures Congress, without any reasonable foundation, that it doesn’t share information with Congress because the subject is an ongoing analysis”, the senators noted. Thibault sent all of that kind of information to a private citizen while the FBI stifles Congress and the American people.
The FBI has not made any comments on the situation.
