According to AP news agency, a major priest, four worshippers, and many injured people were killed and several others were hurt when a storm tore through a madrassa Darul Uloom Haqqania in Pakistan‘s Akkora Khattak area, which is in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

Maulana Haqqani, who serves as the chief of JUI-S, is the first child of Maulana Samiul Haq. He became the Jamia Darul Uloon Haqqania’s vice chancellor and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam ( Sami ) chairman after his father’s tragic passing.
According to the site of the madressah, Maulana Abdul Haq Haqani, an Islamist scholar, founded the madressah in September 1947.
Prior to now, the Madrassa was under investigation for allegedly assisting former prime minister Benazir Bhutto in killing its individuals. The madrassa has, however, persistently denied any connections to the offenders.
