Shivon Zilis, the mother of four of Elon Musk‘s kids, is a venture capitalist and AI pro in Canada. According to the Daily Mail, she has worked for businesses like Tesla, OpenAI, and Neuralink, which have a focus on AI and machine learning. She has also worked for Tesla.
Seldon Lycurgus, the son of Elon Musk and Zilis, was recently revealed on X by Zilis and Elon Musk as their third child. She made the announcement in a blog on Friday.
History in venture capital and AI
Zilis was a striking scholar and swimmer born in Markham, Ontario, in 1986. She studied at Yale University, where she played snow soccer while earning degrees in economics and beliefs. She joined IBM after graduating, where she made her first move into the Artificial sector, focusing on financial systems and machine learning.
Through her job at Bloomberg Beta, the company’s venture capital finger, Zilis gained notoriety in the venture capital space. Her opportunities were focused on AI and robotics, and her knowledge earned her a place on Forbes ‘” 30 Under 30″ record in 2015. She gained a reputation as a rising star in the field of artificial intelligence during this time, establishing strong ties with industry leaders in both walk investment and technology.
She became so influential that she became a member of Musk’s trajectory. She became a panel member of OpenAI, the AI research facility that Musk co-founded in 2016. She then worked for Tesla from 2017 to 2019, where she contributed to the bank’s silicon efforts and Autopilot system. She also took on a command position at Neuralink, Musk’s brain-chip business, in 2017, where she now serves as director of functions and special tasks.
Elon Musk’s private connections are intimate
Zilis had already established a strong status in AI, but in 2022, reports that she and Musk had twins up in 2021 revealed her name. This was made known by court records that contained a request to have the children’s next brands changed so that Musk’s title is included.
According to a report from Bloomberg in 2024, Zilis and Musk had unofficially welcomed a fourth child earlier in the year.
Beyond AI, Zilis stocks Musk’s enthusiasm for video games. She has spoken about her involvement in challenging dream and plan activities, including Elden Ring, which Elden Ring has also received praise from. Since gambling has long been a testing ground for AI developments, her gratitude for gaming is tied to her more general belief in the potential of AI.
