
They’ve been paying tribute to soldiers in Colleyville and the surrounding area for a long time, and then they’re getting ready to do so in an even bigger way.
The original location of Colleyville City Hall, Colleyville City Hall, is being relocated to a much bigger location on the southern lawn. It will grow to about one and a half acres, down from less than a third of an acre.
According to Mayor Bobby Lindamood,” Colleyville is a nationalist area and is delighted to honor those who have served our country and our city.” Heroes Park will be a place where we can often remember those who gave their lives in order to make those rights possible while celebrating life up at our activities.
The first plaza was constructed in 2006 and opened in 2006. Earth broke on the new site in December, and the contractor, J. B. &, Co., LLC is currently completing work on grading and has just finished its work on subsurface utilities.
The new park’s implementation is anticipated in first 2026. Among the features are:
a large open space that can host situations.
Double sided level
Ocean sounds reminiscent of the sounds of nature.
Seating rooms.
Landscape and tone.
Throughout, accent light.
a section featuring information panels that also depict the history of Colleyville before it became a town.
Big windows with information on war the U.S. and the U.S. have been involved in as well as the connections for each.
Lower windows honoring martial and community heroes, including Colleyville.
Banners with iron artworks from each branch of the military facing them in salute are displayed in U.S. and Texas.
Colors for each military unit.
An eternal fire artwork that mimics the flame’s lighting.
The Colleyville City Council created the , Heroes Park , Design Committee and appointed individuals with military backgrounds or prior experience with it in , January 2023. During their conferences to gather ideas, they visited a number of parks in the vicinity of , North Texas  , and also in , Keller.
Lt.  .  .  .  .  .  . Vietnam  . senior and receiver of the Bronze Star with Valor, said “it gave us a lot of ideas that we copied into , Heroes Park , for Colleyville.”
Pamela Savoie, a committee member and Gold Star Mom, is pleased to see soldiers ‘ statues included in the new area. She claimed that it was the most amazing aspect of what other scouts saw.
They were “lifelike, they were lifesize,” she said. They “given them trust,” they said.
Scotty Richardson, a former leader of the Medal of Honor Program in Gainesville, likes the park’s location as a meeting place for the locals.
We’re constantly going to remember our soldiers when we’re there, he said, and there will be a lot of group activities in this region.
Cozart said,” Also if you’re paying a water bill or anything, you’ll see the garden, top over, and you might choose to visit it before you go up house.”
Immediately, plans to announce a call for nominations to become enshrined in the new playground are anticipated.
