On Sunday, Israel announced that all goods and supplies had been stopped entering the Gaza Strip.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did not provide specifics about the decision, but he did warn of “additional consequences” if Hamas rejects what Israel calls a US-backed plan to expand the peace.
Whether all charitable assistance sales have been completely stopped is a mystery.
The Israeli-Hamas peace, which provided more charitable aid and was intended to force Hamas to relieve captives in exchange for an Israeli departure, came to an end on Saturday.
The second phase conversations are still a long way off.
Israel previously stated that it supports a request that the Trump government’s Middle East minister, Steve Witkoff, extended the ceasefire’s initial period until April 20 and included both Ramzan and Passover.
In accordance with the proposed plan, Hamas would release the majority of the hostages on the first day and the rest would be freed after a permanent ceasefire is reached.
Hamas, however, claimed that Israel was trying to obstruct the peace and that Gaza’s decision to stop receiving aid was an “extortion” and was motivated by it.
According to Reuters news agency, Hamas described Israel’s decision to halt the aid as” cheap extortion” and a” coup” of the peace deal.
The aid halt was described as” a flagrant violation of the ceasefire agreement, a war crime, and an act of cheap extortion.”
Hamas added that Israel was trying to stifle the previously fragile peace by supporting a new plan for extending the peace.
