During a cooked legislative session on Tuesday, opposition representatives stormed the Serbian parliament with smoke bombs and break oil.
The conflict broke out as the Serbian Progressive Party ( SNS)-led ruling coalition carried on with its planned agenda.
The chaotic moments were captured on live television as opposition politicians clashed with security personnel as they instantly left their seats and veered toward political speaker Ana Brnabic. Demonstrators hurled tear gas and dust grenades into the chamber, filling it with icy, black and red clouds as the melee progressed.
The conference, which was scheduled to address a number of pressing problems, including the passage of a law to increase financing for universities, and a long-standing demand from students who have staged protests and blockades since December, opened the door to a wider expression of discord.
The turmoil comes in the wake of demonstrations that were first sparked by a dreadful train station roofing collapse four months ago, which resulted in the deaths of 15 people, and have since turned into the Bosnian government’s most significant challenge.
Three politicians were hurt during the clashes, according to Speaker Brnabic. Jasmina Obradovic of the SNS party, who had a injury and is now in critical condition, was one of the people who were affected.
