Following two suicide attacks at the military element that left at least nine people dead and more than 25 injured on Tuesday, Pakistan’s Bannu area witnessed smoke plumes of smoke.
A Taliban-affiliated party in Pakistan claimed role for the attack. The explosions occurred after dusk, which coincided with the time when people were fasting during Ramadan.
” There are currently nine dead, including three children and two people,” the death toll is. According to a mature police official, at least 20 people were hurt in both explosions, according to AFP.
Six insurgents were shot dying in an exchange of fire, he added, besides two deaths.
The two death aircraft detonated near the boundary wall of the sprawling military advanced in Bannu, according to the official, who spoke under the alias.
The attack, which was the second one of the violent attacks in Pakistan since Ramadan started on Sunday, was led by Jaish Al-Fursan, who took responsibility for it. The group claimed in a speech that lorries loaded with explosives were the cause of the explosions.
In the past, militants have targeted Bannu regularly, including a vehicle bombing that left 12 soldiers dead and several others hurt in November. A murder bomber detonated an explosive-laden car in a similar assault in July, as gunmen opened fire near the military hospital’s outside walls.
