Records obtained by the Department of Justice reveal that the ISIS-K associate, who was identified by President Donald Trump as the” best extremist” responsible for the horrible Abbey Gate bombing at the Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, Afghanistan, during the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021, reportedly trained the militants involved in the previous month’s major terrorist attack in Russia.
Mohammad Sharifullah was detained and charged with “providing and conspiring to provide material support and resources to a designated foreign terrorist organization resulting in death” according to the Justice Department’s announcement on Wednesday.
Attorney General Pam Bondi claimed that” this evil ISIS-K terrorist orchestrated the brutal murder of 13 heroic service members.”
ISIS-K blatantly claimed responsibility for the carnage, calling the Abbey Gate bombing an “act of terrorism, adding.” We have secured Sharifullah’s arrest and transportation to the United States to face American justice thanks to the assistance of the FBI, Department of Justice, and CIA.

According to an affidavit from the Justice Department, Sharifullah admitted to serving time in Afghanistan from 2019 until about two weeks prior to the Abbey Gate bombing, which left 13 American service members dead.
According to the affidavit, Sharifullah was given the task of locating an attacker’s route close to Hamid Karzai International Airport. Sharifullah monitored a route, specifically for checkpoints for American or Taliban forces.
Additionally, according to the Justice Department’s affidavit, Sharifullah was to blame for instructing the gunmen involved in the last year’s terrorist attack in Moscow, which left about 130 people dead.
According to the affidavit,” Sharifullah received an order from a known ISIS-K senior leader to provide instructions on how to properly use AK-style rifles and other weapons to would-be attackers in Moscow.” Sharifullah shared video instructions with a number of people. Four gunmen were detained in Russia in connection with the attack after the attack. Sharifullah recognized two of those as the same people who he had given the video of firearms training to. ”  ,
The president announced Sharifullah’s arrest during Trump’s speech to Congress on Tuesday, saying,” I am pleased to announce that we have just apprehended the top terrorist responsible for that atrocity, and he is right now on his way here to face the swift sword of American justice.”
