After receiving a call about business tariffs, US President Donald Trump criticized Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who he claimed used the situation to keep his social standing. Trump revealed the details of the discussion on Truth Social, his social media platform.
He ( Trudeau ) was unable to provide me with information about the Canadian Election, which prompted me to inquire as to what was going on here. I finally became aware that he is attempting to use this situation to maintain energy,” Trump wrote.
The US President even raised fears about fentanyl trafficking, claiming that the synthetic drug is still importing into the country via Mexico and Canada. He claimed that their conversation ended” notably” cordially.
” Justin Trudeau, of Canada, called me to inquire what could be done regarding levies. I informed him that there have been several fatalities from Fentanyl that entered Canada and Mexico, but nothing has persuaded me that it has stopped. He claimed that the quality had improved, but I responded that” that’s not good enough.” The telephone ended in a “much-likely” pleasant way! He was unable to provide me with information about the French vote, which made me curious about what is happening here. I subsequently became aware that he is attempting to use this to maintain his position of power. Good fortune, Justin”! Trump tweeted.
Trump cited Trudeau’s “weak borders guidelines” as contributing to the entry of fentanyl and other illegal immigrants into the US.
” For anyone who is serious, I also told Canadian Governor Justin Trudeau that his poor border policies, which allowed a lot of fentanyl and illegal aliens into the country, contributed to the problems we have with them.” These practices are to blame for the deaths of many folks”! he continued.
Trump’s 25 % tariffs on imports from Canada and Mexico went into effect on Tuesday, and China also faced 20 % more in duties, according to CNN. Punitive taxes were imposed by China and Canada in reply, raising concerns about a possible trade war.
Trump did, however, confirm a momentary one-month exemption from engine taxes for Mexico and Canada on Wednesday, according to White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, as reported by CNN.
