Police officers are responding to a reported “active sniper position” at Corry Station in Florida. As a caution, the walls at Corry Station, along with the key and western walls of Naval Air Station Pensacola, have been closed.
Taking to X, NAS Pensacola stated: “NAS Pensacola Navy Security Forces and local law enforcement companies are responding to an active shooter position March 6 onboard Corry Station”.
” Our Security group is responding quickly and masterfully with our local law enforcement companions”, said Capt. Chandra Newman. Our problem is always the safety and welfare of our service members and their families,” they added.
Both Corry Station and NAS Pensacola remain shut to all incoming and outgoing customers after the situation.
The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office received an alert regarding an armed interruption, as reported by Fox News. The ECSO further said that their clubs are carefully inspecting all services and facilities in the area.
Naval Air Station Pensacola Corry Station, which operates as a company deployment of NAS Pensacola, serves as a training center for numerous Information Warfare Corps directions of the US Navy.
