Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Saturday he was determined to do everything to stop the Russia-Ukraine battle while confirming future meetings between American and Russian officials in Saudi Arabia to discuss serenity as the war with Russia continues.
This conference marks the second high-level relationship between US and Ukrainian leaders since Zelenskyy met with US President Donald Trump on February 28.
He even revealed that Ukraine’s political staff met with UK authorities in Kyiv to discuss joint initiatives to promote peace talks.
Zelenskyy posted on X that the conference in Kyiv with the UK’s political team was “highly successful” and focused on steps to bring harmony closer. He thanked the UK for its ongoing help and reiterated Ukraine’s determination to end the war as soon as possible. “Ukraine is determined to do everything to stop this conflict with a just and lasting serenity as soon as possible”, he wrote.
The news follows Zelenskyy’s membership in a Western leaders ‘ summit in London on March 2, where debate centred on Ukraine’s coming in Europe and long-term protection agreements. During his new UK attend, he met with Prime Minister Keir Starmer to tackle Ukraine’s safety issues and its course towards harmony, along with meeting King Charles. The UK and Ukraine had recently signed a 100-year partnership contract to develop treatment and technical assistance.
Zelenskyy even confirmed that he will go to Saudi Arabia following week, where he will join Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Monday. On Tuesday, Ukrainian diplomatic and military representatives may be in Jeddah for conversations with the British group.
The Ukrainian President emphasised that Kyiv is committed to productive dialogue and hope to agree on practical ways toward serenity. He reiterated that Ukraine has been pursuing harmony since the beginning of the war and has put forth “realistic ideas” to resolve the conflict. He stressed the necessity of making headway.
However, US minister Steve Witkoff confirmed he did meet Ukrainian authorities in Saudi Arabia to explain an “initial peace” and a broader platform for a longer-term deal. Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated that the deals will take place in Jeddah.
