UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced on Thursday that NHS England will be abolished, bringing the National Health Service ( NHS) back under direct government control.
” I’m bringing control of the NHS back into political power, by abolishing the arms-length system NHS England”, Starmer said.
In a statement, he explained:” We’re going to reduce bureaucracy across the position. Focus authorities on the objectives of working people, switch cash to the front line”.
He more said,” Amongst the reasons we’re abolishing it is because of the repetition. So if you can think it, we’ve got a communications staff in NHS England, we’ve got a connections team in the health department of government. We’ve got a strategy group in NHS England, a approach team in the government office. We’re repeating things that could be done again. If we strip that up, which is what we’re doing now, that next allows us to open up that money, to place it where it needs to be, which is the top line”.

Starmer arugued that officials may handle the NHS rather than an independent system. He concluded by saying this decision will gain the NHS to the center of government “where it belongs” and added that” strong choices” will remain.
Under these ideas, NHS England may then work within the UK government’s department of health and social treatment.
What is NHS England?
NHS England is responsible for leading the National Health Service ( NHS) in England.
It has numerous features, including overseeing healthcare providers, working with the government to set priorities and money, and negotiating expenses for health products and services.
NHS England is an administrative non-departmental open system, which means it is not a government office but operates using public cash under the sponsor of the department of health and social treatment.
