A group of volunteers in Mexico City who are looking for missing relatives first learned about a mass grave hidden in northern Mexico next week. When they arrived at a deserted house outside La Estanzuela, a small rural town outside of Guadalajara, they discovered three underwater burning facilities, burned human remains, plenty of bone fragments and discarded private items, as well as figurines of Santa Muerte, the Holy Death.
The Mexican regulators, who were first alerted by the terrible find, after discovered 96 shell shells of various calibers and steel gripping rings at the house. The research team was referring to the blog as an “extermination camp” as it was dominating local papers and TV reports as of last Friday, and the discovery was already influencing local newspapers and Television reports.
No bones have been found, and it is not known how many people died there. The camp’s owners, what crimes were committed it, and how much, are still unknown to the authorities. However, the attorney general’s office took over the investigation this week at President Claudia Sheinbaum’s demand.
A blue summertime dress, a little red backpack, notebooks, and pieces of underwear were among the more than 200 shoes piled together at the deserted ranch, according to photos taken by authorities and the volunteer organization Searching Warriors of Jalisco. The more than 700 specific things were a spooky indication of how many people may have perished it.
The graphics shocked Mexicans and sparked offended human rights groups, demanding that the government put an end to the crime in a nation that appears to be inured to bouts of brutal assault from drug cartel, where clandestine graves emerge every month.
Since record-keeping began in 1962, over 120 000 persons have been violently disappeared in Mexico. The amount may be higher, according to human rights organizations and volunteer organizations looking for missing friends.
The ranch’s discovery comes at a time when Sheinbaum is under severe pressure from Trump to stop organized crime. Sheinbaum has refocused on her mission on security issues partially as a result of his challenges. However, her government is faced with major difficulties. The Jalisco New Generation Cartel, one of Mexico’s most violent criminal organizations, is today a major manufacturer and trader of artificial drugs, especially meth and fentanyl. The organization, which operates in both the state of Jalisco and across the nation, has expanded into other legal actions like human trafficking, blackmail, and illegal logging.
