As the US presses for a ceasefire in Ukraine, White House special envoy Steve Witkoff said on Sunday that President Trump might talk with Vladimir Putin over the telephone this year.
He continued,” We’re also continuing to talk and exchange ideas with Ukrainians.” Putin and Witkoff met last week in Moscow. Wittkoff claimed in his talk with Putin that it was a” solution-based dialogue,” and that it was good. He accepts President Trump’s theory. Trump actually anticipates there will be some sort of agreement in the upcoming months, and I think that’s what’s going on, Witkoff said.
