Sudiksha Konanki, 20, of Indian descent, is still missing despite 11 days of intense searching in the Dominican Republic where she spent her first week on getaway. Her parents have now urged the Doctor authorities to consider their daughter dying. When the mysterious disappearance of the Pitt University undergraduate was viewed as a case of drowning, Konanki’s parents initially pleaded with the administration to expand their search, but now the kids have stated they don’t believe there is any foul play.
According to ABC News, Konanki’s relatives wrote a formal notice to the authorities on Monday, informing them that there was no known foul play in her presumptive dying after she vanished from a Punta Cana shore on March 6.
Konanki’s kids stated that they have complete confidence in the research and that they believe Joshua Riibe, the 24-year-old man Konanki was last seen with, has been cooperating with the authorities.
We request that the police office continue with the lawful declaration of her death given these conditions and after much debate. We are aware that some legitimate guidelines must be followed, and we are prepared to do so in accordance with any required documentation or formalities,” her parents wrote. Our family can begin the grieving process and handle issues relating to her absence by initiating this procedure. No declaration is really ease our grief, but we firmly believe that this action will take some closure and allow us to respect her memory,” the letter said.
Riibe’s lawyers issued an order to the authorities that Riibe may be released from police monitoring as part of the request for the lawful pronouncement of death.
How did Sudiksha Konanki vanish? What questions remain unanswered?
Sudiksha Konanki was last seen in surveillance images on March 6. They went to the saltwater where they almost perished, according to Riibe. Riibe claimed Konanki was dragged out of the water and that he faced the tides. He claimed that Konanki was absent when he woke up and that he had already passed out when he reached the sea. He believed Konanki had to have left the beach, and he did, too. After the trio battled the tides and reached the shore, he claimed to have asked Konanki if she was okay, but he received no response.
In order to prevent Riibe from leaving the country, police detained him in the hotel and took his card. He has been questioned about whether he was sure that Riibe had pulled Konanki out of the ocean and that she had not perished. Konanki’s garments were discovered on the shore, which suggests that most likely she drowned. However, because no one has located her figure, authorities believe it may have been buried beneath a coast.
Ribe has only been identified as a man of interest in the case, not as an accused. However, without the assistance of police, he was not being able to leave the resort.
