The IRS reporters who played a key role in Hunter Biden’s legal case are now being promoted to positions of authority in the Treasury Department.
In a Fox News interview, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said,” I decided I did take them into Treasury, offer them a time to investigate the crime that is going on at the IRS, and then they will go back in.” How could this Hunter Biden nonsense have occurred, he said,” We will have them in Treasury, we will learn what has been happening at the IRS, what has been wrong, and how could it have happened.” And we’ll make sure nobody else is affected by it. ”

Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler, two IRS employees who testified before a House committee alleging misconduct at the IRS and FBI that gave Hunter Biden preferred treatment, both testified for a House commission.
The former president pardoned his son late last year, and the pair made an emotional point by saying it was a “sad day for law-abiding taxpayers. ” ”
They will now be taking prominent positions within the Trump presidency.
Bessent said,” Our democracy is a fundamental part of being able to travel forward when you see wrong.
Ziegler may even take over as the head of the organization, while Spamp will serve as the top deputy for investigations and police.
Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA ), who has been looking into the Biden family’s affairs since 2019, pushed for the promotions and released a statement expressing gratitude for the news.

Instead of being thanked, the Biden presidency treated them like raccoons at a lunch, according to Grassley, who defended Gary Shapley and Joe Ziegler, who had put their entire jobs on the line to defend the fact. Far too many whistleblowers have faced similar forms of retribution. I hope that now will mark the start of some whistleblowers who have experienced maltreatment. ”
Bessent and Grassley both made their personal speech of gratitude in a statement released by Shakespeare and Ziegler.
The couple said,” We have been guided by one unspoken rule: do what is right, and do it the right way.” Having a clear consciousness is worth the effort, even though it has never been easy. ”
