Vladimir Putin, the country’s famous for holding world leaders at bay, made an appearance with US President Donald Trump in no time, choosing to hold a meeting with Russian businessmen and entrepreneurs in Moscow.
The conference took place between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m., Russian moment, just before the vital contact between the two leaders. Putin didn’t seem to be feeling any pressure as the scheduled contact day approached, though.
The show’s number, Alexander Shokhin, glanced at his watch at about 4 p.m. and said the call was scheduled for before 6 p.m. Unconcerned, Puntin reacted with the joke,” Don’t subscribe to him! His work is to do that. Finally, Shawkin continued,” We need to see what Trump says about this.
Putin apparently made fun of Dmitry Peskov, the spokesman for the Kremlin, who had first announced the start of the highly anticipated discussion. Putin finally left the event and is said to have arrived at the Kremlin around 5 p.m., an hour after the scheduled start time for the call.
The high-stakes discussion continued despite the pause, lasting for at least 90 days, with both leaders discussing a possible peace offer in Ukraine. Prior to the call, Trump expressed optimism about persuading Putin to sign the 30-day peace plan, which had already been approved by Kyiv.
The US president had also made hints at conversations regarding what components of held Ukraine that Russia may be allowed to keep, stating that Washington and Moscow were considering “diving up some property.”
Following the conversation, the Kremlin announced that Putin had agreed to stop launching attacks on Ukraine’s electricity system for 30 times. However, the White House confirmed that both leaders supported a “energy and network ceasefire” as a potential first step toward a resolution of the conflict.
Putin officially expressed his desire to work with the US on possible solutions to the conflict in Ukraine, despite the Kremlin’s blatant admission that Moscow had set out specific requirements for any long-lasting peace.
While the Kremlin described the conversation as “detailed and frank”
