Trump and Zelenskyy spoke in response to Trump’s request to agree to a 30-day stalemate, a request supported by the US and Ukraine. Putin agreed to a temporary stop to energy infrastructure attacks even though he initially denied the whole ceasefire.
In a social media post, Trump described his meeting with Zelenskyy as “very nice,” noting that much of the discussion revolved around acing the demands of Ukraine and Russia.
