According to authorities, Russia launched a drone strike on Kyiv immediately, causing injury to at least seven individuals, as well as fires in high-rise apartment buildings and the Ukrainian capital.
” A large army helicopter attack on Kyiv. Seven people have been hurt so far in the money. One of them has been taken to a hospital, according to Vitali Klitschko, the governor of Kyiv, in a blog on the Telegram messaging apps.
” Emergency service were dispatched to a number of regions where fires were reported,” Klitschko continued.
According to Timur Tkachenko, head of Kyiv’s military management, falling debris from a decommissioned aircraft set off fires in high-rise apartments across the Dnipro River in the ancient Podil area and Dniprovskyi area.
The attack’s magnitude was unclear at the time.
According to provincial governor Mykola Kalashnik, another two people were hurt and some homes were damaged in the Kyiv-area.
Russia did not respond right away. In a three-year conflict that began with Russian President Vladimir Putin ordering a” unique military function” in Ukraine in February 2022, both sides claim that they were targeting civilians.
Under the direction of its new president, Donald Trump, the United States is pushing for a partial ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia in an effort to stop strikes on energy infrastructure. Both parties have reported continuing attacks, though.
Kyiv, its environs, and the northeast quarter of Ukraine were under heat attack warnings for more than five hours, beginning late on Saturday, according to Ukraine’s Air Force drawings.
