Tim Walz, the governor of Minnesota, made an attempt to play down his latest comments about Tesla and its CEO Elon Musk, saying they were intended as a joke but still supported his criticism of the tycoon.
Walz acknowledged his past laughter attack on Tesla’s plummeting stock price at a town house on Saturday in Rochester, Minnesota, but claimed it was made in jest.
Walz said of Musk,” This man faults me in a way that’s likely unhealthy.” I must be cautious about being intelligent. I was making fun of myself. These individuals lack humor. They are the most precise individuals.
Earlier in the week, Walz mocked Tesla’s property decline at an occasion in Wisconsin.
” Some of you are aware of this. That little property app is available for the iPhone. I boosted it with Tesla by adding$ 225 and dropping, according to Walz. And we’re certainly blaming you if you own one. Dental floss can be used to “pull the Tesla issue off”
The stock price of Tesla has fallen by 41.4 % since the start of the year, raising concerns for investors.
Walz also criticised Musk’s involvement with the department of government efficiency ( DOGE ), a program designed to reduce the federal workforce as a cost-cutting measure under US President Donald Trump‘s administration.
They are” all butthurt about the Tesla thing,” according to the Minneapolis VA, who fire their employees for showing no concern for the disrespect they show their employees. They are uninterested,” Walz said.
He continued to criticize Musk, contrasting his money with what he perceived as a lack of compassion.
” Maybe it’s just me,” I thought. If I’m the richest man in the world, I’d rather be “handing out money” on the roads, according to Walz. It would be” really fun to help people out,” he said. Go out and assist. No the man,”
Musk has been called out by Walz before being called a “knucklehead.” His most recent comments come amid growing criticism of Tesla’s financial problems and Musk’s social control.
