According to Fox News, Jessica D. Aber, a former US lawyer, had a “longstanding clinical issue.” She was discovered dead over the weekend.
The body of Aber, 43, was found on Saturday at a house in Alexandria, Virginia. A close friend of the deceased’s told Fox News on Sunday that he had a serious medical problem.
According to the Fox News citing cause, “police believe the death was the result of a historic health issue.”
The Alexandria Police Department ( APD ) announced on Saturday that it had received a call about an “unresponsive woman” at around 9o’clock in the morning.
An investigation is being conducted regarding the circumstances surrounding her death, according to the APD’s speech, which was written in process. The cause and manner of death may be determined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner of Virginia.
After being appointed by former President Joe Biden, Aber served as the US counsel for the Eastern District of Virginia from 2021 to 2025. On January 20, the same day as Donald Trump took office, she resigned and wrote in her resignation letter that she called her place” an honor beyond calculate.”

US Attorney General Pam Bondi expressed apologies over Aber’s passing in a statement released on X Saturday.
