In the most recent legal complication for the sports celebrity due to his allegiance to Bangladesh’s ousted PM Sheikh Hasina, a Bangladeshi judge ordered the arrest of cricket player Shakib Al Hasan‘s property. Shakib was a former member of Hasina’s political gathering, Awami League. In a student-led revolt last month, Hasina was overthrown.
His involvement with Hasina led to public outcry, and he was one of the many people facing murder charges for a dangerous authorities crackdown on protesters during the uprising. He has not been charged with those accusations, but he is currently facing charges of fraud for allegedly bouncing checks worth more than$ 300,000. According to the situation statement, Shakib’s Agro Farm, which was owned by Shakib, had issued two paychecks worth Tk 41.5 million to repay loans from the IFIC Bank’s Banani branch, but both were turned down due to insufficient funds. Following the court’s January 1st, a judge in the capital Dhaka issued a subpoena for Shakib’s arrest on Monday.
Shakib, who was competing in a private Twenty20 match against Canada when Hasina’s government fell, has since returned to Bangladesh. The left-arm all-rounder has 71 Test appearances for Bangladesh, 247 one-day tournaments, and 129 Twenty20s, totaling 712 innings. a number of organizations
