Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem drilled the information from the Trump presidency to illegitimate illegal aliens that they are not only allowed in America, but they will experience consequences if they do not keep. She was standing in front of alleged gang members in El Salvador’s Terrorism Confinement Center.
Noem wrote,” President Trump and I have a clear concept to legal illegal aliens: Give NOW,” in a blog on X following her visit. We will detain and arrest you if you don’t left, and you could end up in this El Salvadorian jail.
Noem visited the famous detention facility on Wednesday to check the circumstances and explain expanding the number of jailed gang members there. The service, which is notorious for its severe treatment, now buildings 250 alleged Tren de Aragua and MS-13 gang members who have been lately expelled from the country as a result of President Trump’s immigration policies. The largest prison in Latin America, CECOT, is designed to accommodate up to 40 000 inmates.
According to The Post, the detention facility “is known for deliberately dehumanizing conditions intended to serve as the ultimate deterrent in El Salvador’s years-long battle against gang violence.”
Noem observed detainees silently lining up in overcrowded spaces while he visited cell blocks, solitary confinement areas, and an armory. Her visit coincides with the Trump administration’s desire to deport criminal illegal immigrants.
Noem reportedly “viewed rows of tattooed inmates standing obediently along the bars of their massive but crammed cells” during her visit and “observed the arsenal of heavy weaponry— including assault rifles — that the prison’s army of guards use to keep order.”
Noem was led through the facility by Gustavo Villatoro, El Salvador’s minister of justice and public security, who stated that” no one expects these people to go back to society and behave.”
Noem is anticipated to negotiate an increase in CECOT capacity for future deportees as part of her wider efforts to deter illegal immigration during her discussions with President Nayib Bukele.
