Due to the government’s tax plan, which leaves a press conference scheduled for Monday, President Donald Trump canceled it with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The press conference on Monday evening, which is billed as a working conference between White House representatives and their Jewish peers, comes just days after Trump announced “reciprocal” taxes on most of the country’s trading partners, including Israel, in a shift that has stung the world market. &nbsp,

The White House declined to provide a justification for the canceled media event.

Even after the Jewish state removed its existing tariffs on imports from the United States, Trump imposed a 17 % mutual tariff on Israel. It will go into effect on Wednesday, along with mutual taxes on all of the country’s trading partners. &nbsp,

Domestic and international financial markets were in a slack late last week as a result of the president’s announcement of his” Liberation Day” agenda, which included a flat 10 % tariff on all nations that was implemented over the weekend in addition to “reciprocal” tariffs based on other countries ‘ existing barrier taxes.

The S&amp, P 500, and Dow Jones Industrial Average both experienced back-to-back losses of more than 1,500 points for the first time ever on Thursday and Friday, leading to a 24 % decline for the Nasdaq on Monday morning as the Dow Jones Industrial Average recorded back-to-back losses of more than 1,500 points for the first time ever.

After information aggregators claimed Kevin Hassett, the chairman of Trump’s National Economic Council, said the president was considering a 90-day wait on his tax plan, the industry briefly rose after opening on Monday night. Companies immediately reverted to red after the White House labeled those accounts “fake information.”

” I believe they’re trying to coerce the senator into making decisions that the president has previously indicated he wants to do,” he said. A top White House official told the Washington Examiner, referring to the industry rise and drop spurred by the Hassett account, that they are simply coming up with s***, which is dangerous. ” I believe what they are doing is reckless.” Allow the senator take the lead in this. He has maintained a strong consistency. I believe that the government’s position was what was now causing the market to respond in this manner.

Since Wednesday’s news for trade agreements, that White House staffer said more than 50 countries have contacted the presidency.

Ursula von der Leyen, president of the European Commission, claimed that the European Union is “ready to deal with the U.S. S”. During a press conference atop Norway Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store.

Additionally, Trump threatened on Monday morning to implement an extra 50 % tax on China if it doesn’t lose its personal 34 % retaliatory tariffs by Tuesday, another high-profile move. The effective tariff rate on Chinese imports would increase by 50 % to 104 %.

Netanyahu has spoken with Trump for the first time since the drastic levies were made public last year. &nbsp,

Before Trump and Netanyahu met on Monday, Netanyahu had a conference with Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and Trade Representative Jamieson Greer.

Although no further information about the discussions was provided, the Jewish leader’s office described the meeting with Lutnick as “warm, polite, and productive.”

Netanyahu’s next visit to the White House during the next Trump administration also included conversations about Israel’s conflict with Hamas.

Trump blasted the United States ‘ plan to retake control of the Gaza Strip&nbsp during Netanyahu’s first visit in February and transform it into the” Riviera of the Middle East.” If the initiative had succeeded, Palestinian families would have been forced to relocate to the place. &nbsp,

However, some Democrats, as well as King Abdullah II of Jordan, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, and other leaders in Arab states, soon refuted the idea. &nbsp,

Trump after abandoned his desire to control the Gaza Strip. Trump and Irish Taoiseach Micheal Martin held a press conference in the Oval Office in March, saying,” Nothing is expelling any Palestinians.” &nbsp,
