US Supreme Court halts reinstatement of 16,000 federal workers dismissed under Trump administration
Donald Trump, the president of the United States

A directive that the Trump administration must restore thousands of federal employees who were fired as a result of intensive labor reductions was halted by the US Supreme Court on Tuesday. Following the administration’s request for emergency relief from a California national jury’s decision, which required the return of 16, 000 temporary staff members due to improper termination practices under federal regulations, the court intervened.
According to the Supreme Court’s decision, affected people at six national companies will continue to receive paid administrative left for the time being.
An extra injunction prevented rejections at the same six firms and about twelve others after a separate legal problem in Maryland. The District of Columbia and the 19 states that initiated legitimate trials are the only parties to this ruling’s application.
The Maryland decision has been subject to a different appeal by the Justice Department.
