A “death-pool lineup” of Republican-appointed federal courts, according to a new record, was created by a former vice president’s communications director who could have sworn in as president if former president Joe Bien had died in business.
The new report was written by NBC News ‘ Jonathan Allen and Amie Parnes and published on Tuesday by William Morrow and Company as” Fight: Inside the Wildest Battle for the White House,” according to Fox News. According to the new book, Blake Simmons, who previously served as Harris ‘ White House communications director, created the “death-pool squad” of judges.
Simmons was concerned that many people may doubt the validity of her presidency if Biden died in business and Harris took office. According to the book, Simmons was particularly concerned that” Trump people” had become “apesh-t” if Harris took the oath of office.
The social reporters wrote that Simons believed Harris may be strengthened by an administrative stamp of approval if she were sworn in quickly because Biden had passed away unexpectedly. He worried that her validity may be questioned in light of the January 6 effort to prevent Biden from becoming president.
According to Allen and Parnes, “he believed a federal judge who had been chosen by a Republican another than Trump would be the strongest validator.” He took a worksheet of those commentators from across the nation, broken down by city, with him when he traveled with Harris.

Prior to leaving her communications team in January 2023, Simmons claimed in Allen and Parnes ‘ book that he had never informed Harris about the “death-pool roster.” Simmons, but, stated to his coworkers that since he had developed an “entire contacts plan,” he” may get notified immediately if anything happened to Biden.” Simmons even left the “death-pool squad” spreadsheet with a different assistant to Harris.
Prior to the 2024 presidential election, Democrat representatives developed additional” emergency plans” in addition to Simmons ‘ “death-pool squad” of judges.
According to Allen and Parnes,” a few Democratic National Committee officials now had contingency plans in mind.” According to two people who are close to them, these officers “gambled out Biden-withdrawal settings” in hush-hush discussions starting in 2023.
The Democratic National Committee’s ideas were put together by Allen and Parnes, according to Allen and Parnes, to ensure that the Democrat Pary was prepared for “every possible occasion,” such as if Biden ran for office and then resigned before the elections, if he won a number of elections before being unable to proceed. If he secured enough delegates to win the nomination but then dropped before the convention’s floor vote, and if he left a seat atop the seat after accepting the election, there would be a position.
