According to two people with knowledge of the situation, Bill Gates is physically pressing Trump administration officials to maintain funding health initiatives that range from childhood immunization to HIV care and is warning that his base cannot step in to fill the void, according to two publications with knowledge of the matter.
A representative for the Gates Foundation, his charitable institution, said,” Bill was just in Washington D.C. meeting with decision makers to explain the life-saving effect of U.S. global assistance , and the need for a proper plan to protect the world’s most vulnerable while safeguarding America’s heath and safety.”
