I don’t know if I’m the biggest missionary for college football out that, but I’m happy to have that earth below at PJ Media. Football at the college level brings some interesting stories that are difficult to ignore.

This time only, I’ve shared the story of a fresh baseball player who insisted on playing on opening day even though his mother lost her battle with cancers that morning — he honored her memory with a home run. I even recounted the story of a famous game that set a report.
Even smaller institutions have interesting stories. At the end of last year, I shared the inspiring tale of a sports program whose participants determined to keep their winter going after the class shut its doors. The group rallied around these people as effectively.
Two little ball applications quenched their extended losing streaks on Tuesday. What makes this story so special is that the stains broke in a double between the two teams.
Division III schools Lehman College and Yeshiva University faced off on Tuesday in a mini act, and both teams were hungry for a gain. How’s how ESPN reported about the day:
Entering its competition with Yeshiva University, Lehman College’s football club had lost 42 activities in a column. But it entered with trust. Why?
Smart had a 99-game losing run.
Obviously, something had to supply in a double between the two teams.
That’s straight, 42 and 99 activities. Lehman next won a game on May 9, 2023, while Yeshiva hadn’t won a match since Feb. 27, 2022. Both teams were hungry for a succeed.

It looked like Yeshiva might be the first team to split its winning streak. The Kings took an early 5-1 guide and were winning 6-4 before the 7th inning — the last round of the game under dual guidelines.
But the Lehman Lightning forced more pitches with some well-timed center hits. In the top of the ninth inning, Yeshiva’s cup hit Elias Fermin with the foundations loaded, giving Lehman the lead, while Lehman cup Justin Chamorro, who pitched a perfect match, put Yeshiva down to safe the gain.
A 42-game drought ended, which had to be sweet for Lehman’s coach Chris Delgado, who was a senior pitcher the last time the Lightning won a game, although he didn’t pitch in that game.

Of course, this brought Yeshiva’s losing streak to 100 games, but the Maccabees had a shot at redemption in game two. They took advantage of it, jumping out to an early lead. Lehman kept things competitive and loaded the bases in the fifth inning, but the Maccabees emerged triumphant. The win gave first-year head coach Jeremy Renna his first victory at the helm. ( I’m assuming based on his bio that Renna is a volunteer coach or at least coaches part time. )
