VATICAN CITY: The Vatican on Thursday published a photo of Pope Francis meeting King Charles III and his wife Queen Camilla the day before during the English king’s condition visit to Italy. Wednesday’s meeting was a shock, as Buckingham house had cancelled the anticipated market due to the 88-year-old bishop’s poor health. Francis, the mind of the nation’s 1.4 billion Christians, is recovering from five days in hospital with lethal asthma.
It was the first conference between Charles, the head of the church of England, and the bishop since the queen ascended to the throne in 2022. The pope offered his thanks to the royal pair, who celebrated their 20th marriage celebration Wednesday, the castle and the Vatican said.
During the 20-minute face, the king– who is recovering from malignancy– and the bishop even exchanged well-wishes for each other’s wellness, the Vatican said. ” Their majesties were delighted the bishop was well enough to sponsor them– and to have had the opportunity to share their best intentions in people”, a Buckingham Palace speech added.
Charles, 76, has been suffering from an unknown cancers for more than a year and less than two weeks ago he was quickly admitted to doctor after experiencing side effects from his care. He was out of activity for a matter of time before resuming his official commitments on April 1. Francis, who nearly died double during his care for double bronchitis, has been in recovery since his returning to the Vatican on March 23.
Despite being ordered to rest and recover for two weeks, the Argentine made a surprise appearance in St Peter’s Square next Sunday at the end of a large. On Tuesday, the Vatican said that Francis’s speech and freedom were improving, raising hope that he may take part in upcoming Easter activities. He has been using a catheter– a plastic tubing tucked into the nostrils– to help him swallow, somewhat at night, but was not wearing one in the picture released Thursday.
