White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said Friday evening that the White House is only under orders to “facilitate” the transfer of deported Maryland resident and expat Kilmar Abrego Garcia.
Leavitt was questioned about whether Trump wanted Abrego Garcia to follow Nayib Bukele, president of Salvador, when he traveled to meet with Donald Trump the following year. After being unjustly removed from El Salvador, Brego Garcia was ordered to return to the country after being deported to a megaprison next month.
Leavitt said,” The Supreme Court made their decision last night very apparent. The administration is obligated to help the profit, not to enact it.

Following an “administrative mistake” on the part of the federal government, the Supreme Court has mandated that the Trump presidency “facilitate” the transfer of Abrego Garcia to the United States. He was erroneously deported without receiving a fair hearing under the Alien Enemies Act executive order.
The Trump Justice Department had requested that Judge Paula Xinis’s attempt to reinstate Abrego Garcia, a Maryland resident who is legally representative in the United States despite having an illegal immigrant status, be overturned.

Former President Barack Obama appointed Xinis as a federal prosecutor in the United States District Court for the District of Maryland.
The Trump administration requested a deadline extension for the release after it was supposed to be presented to the court on Friday night.
