The White House criticized the “myth” that married people may not vote if they changed their last names under the late passed Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act, or SAVE Act.
White House press director Karoline Leavitt stated that” this action is a common estimate that may require proof of citizenship for election in our votes.”
She continued,” The Democrats have been feigning to support this bill.” They have been saying that married people will not be able to vote if their name changes and they don’t change it on their verification. That is a total fallacy.
What assurances can you offer [married ] American women voters regarding the new SAVE Act]?

The bill, which requires proof of membership to register to vote in national elections, was passed by four Democrats and House Republicans on Thursday. Democrats claimed they are necessary for election integrity reasons despite Democrats saying they are unnecessary because noncitizen election is extremely rare.
Democrats and other critics expressed concern that the act was forbid married women from using their parent’s name because their last names no longer meet their birth certificates, despite the bill’s objections.
Kind vehemently refrained from those problems.
According to Levitt,” The president [ Donald Trump ] very much supports a commonsense solution to make sure that only members can participate in our votes.” This is crucial to ensuring that American citizens have confidence in the political process, as well as that this is necessary, and that the bill’s word proves that this is a myth.
Lake noted that she is married but has not changed her last name.

At least seven Democrats had sign on for the costs to be law before it can pass the Senate.
