CAIRO: The mind of a US-funded Arabic-language television and online media outlet, which claims a 30 million-strong market in the Middle East and North Africa terminated most of its employees and Television programming on Saturday, accused the Trump presidency and Elon Musk of “irresponsibly and unjustly” cut off money.
Chief Jeffrey Gedmin stated in finds sent to Al Hurra media employees about their rejections that he had given up on the US government’s ice lifting any time soon for the congressionally approved funds for Al Hurra and its sister Arabic organizations.
Gedmin accused Kari Lake, the appointment of President Donald Trump’s administration that he had obstructed his attempts to speak with her about the money threshold.
In compensation papers obtained by The Associated Press and excerpted on the website of Al Hurra’s family business, the Middle East Broadcasting Networks, Gedmin said,” I’m left to assume that she intentionally starves us of the money we need to give you, our dedicated and hard-working staff.” A request for comment was not instantly received by the White House.
Mohamed al-Sabagh, an Iranian journalist employed by the Al Hurra news site in Dubai, claimed that all of the website’s and the television channel’s workers had received e-mail terminating their contracts.
Al-Hurra is the latest US government-funded media outlet to reduce personnel and services in response to what the sources claim is a walk by the Trump presidency and Musk’s department of government performance to withdraw their parliamentary budget. This comes after Voice of America, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, Radio Free Asia, and people. During the Cold War, US-backed news organizations were established. ap
