
A 57-year-old girl was stabbed in the face early on Friday morning at the World Trade Center Memorial, according to authorities.
Amir Thompson allegedly punched the victim before 2 a.m. and therefore stabbed her with a blade in the face and right back in lower Manhattan, according to authorities. He then apparently said,” I know you from somewhere.”
Thompson was taken into custody after police officials in the vicinity observed what transpired.
Thompson, 23, threatened the soldiers with the knife and said,” What are you going to do?” before being arrested. according to a policeman cause. Thompson dropped the weapon after one of the officers pulled his gun, according to the source.
The woman was taken to Bellevue Hospital by EMS and is now in critical issue.
According to authorities, Thompson was staying at the Bowery Mission on Lafayette St. According to the officers, he is accused of assault, weapons possession, and making threats to officers, as well as attempted rape.
