House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N. ) Y. ) only served as a reminder to everyone that Democrats are losing the communication conflict. Jeffries recorded himself delivering what he allegedly thought was a brilliant attack of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth in what might be the most awkward attempt at social humour this year. Spoiler alert: it wasn’t.

Imagine a middle school student trying to make an attack at the breakfast table; that’s what Jeffries attempted to do when he attacked Hegseth by rebranding” DEI” as “dumb effing individuals.” Yes, the most prominent Democrats in Congress, the House Minority Leader, believed his obscene comment to be zinger that would go popular. Rather, it grew uncomfortable.
In a movie shared to X, Jeffries claimed that the DEI hires in the Trump administration, like Pete Hegseth, the so-called Secretary of Defense, and other stupid sodding people, continue to try to undermine our commitment and sever our history.

The humor is powerful. Here, we have the DEI religion’s party leader who is suddenly referring to himself as a” slur.” Democrats who have for years argued that DEI is the highest moral virtue are now throwing the phrase about like a stain whenever it fits their narrative. So which is it, exactly? When someone like Hegseth is in the sights, is DEI a heroic endeavor, or is it script for stupidity? Jeffries simply handed it to you if you needed more evidence that the left’s devotion to its animal causes is essentially performative.

Making things worse, Jeffries built his entire talk on false information about the Naval Academy’s book evacuation coverage, which is only worse. He blatantly claimed that Hitler’s works were still published despite the Academy’s ban on books about slavery, legal rights, and the Holocaust. That’s adorable, but it’s also entirely misleading.
The fact, really? In response to President Trump’s professional commands on DEI plans, the books were just moved to a different site. They weren’t burned, banned, or any other serious scenario Jeffries created for his cultural internet performance.
The revolution de grâce was Hegseth’s answer to” Sunday Morning Futures.”
He said,” It’s remarkable, not unexpected, “he said. They don’t like the truth that we’re eliminating De from the defense and replacing it with a merit-based, white system. If their entire plan is to contact us names while we secure the southern borders, kick out Chinese influence, and promote the hero society inside our defense, I don’t even know how long the picture was, and their future looks bleak as well.

Hegseth was actually doing his job, despite Jeffries ‘ busy working on his dad’s jokes. Commander Tim Hawkins wasted time by claiming that the books weren’t banned but instead were simply moved to a different location where they’re” not immediately available.” ” But why should a good tantrum not be slowed down by facts?”
This is yet another illustration of how the Democratic leadership tries so hard to create outrage but is unsuccessful. It’s becoming clear why they’re having trouble connecting with voters given Jeffries ‘ amateur-hour comedy routine and his party’s continued reliance on false narratives.
Perhaps Jeffries should devote more time to developing actual policy arguments next time rather than to his TikTok material. However, that would require having legitimate positions to defend.
